Learning how to faux finish is a creative and fun process. Instruction for faux painting has been brought to a new level, and often, IWCT receives students from different states and countries. We have included hotel and map information to help make your stay with us pleasant. See the maps and hotels button for more info. Faux painting is the truest form of interior decoration, and will always be in style. Faux painting techniques, however, do tend to move in and out of style. Sponge painting and even rag rolling, for example, saw their glory, but now people demand a more sophisticated and artistic faux finish. Currently, requests for Venetian Plasters abound, and students of IF WALLS COULD TALK learn the historical background of many different Venetian Plaster applications, including, Marmorino, Veneciano, Montovano, Pompeian plasters, and Asian finishes. Lime based plasters are all the rage, and faux painting students not only learn how to apply these techniques, but how to sell them.
